The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine is hosting a town hall meeting today for those affected directly by the recent flooding, this meeting aims to connect people with both services and support.
Representatives from Emergency Management BC will be attending at the Thornhill Fire Department between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., there will also be speakers from the northwest regional office, Community Recovery Branch and the Disaster Financial Assistance Department.
The Provincial Health Services Authority’s psycho-social team manager is also slated to attend the event, which will include presentations on how to access support through both the regional district and the province. There will also be a question and answer sessions after the presentations are done.
