The wildfire service is reporting some progress as it fights several of the forest fires that have swept through parts of the B-C Interior since last week.
Crews have completed some guards along the edge of a 260-square kilometer blaze north of Lillooet that has forced evacuation orders and alerts around the community of Pavilion.
No structures have been lost there, and residents in the Sparks Lake area north of Kamloops are also keeping a close watch as fire there now covers 363-square kilometers.
An evacuation of 164 homes has been ordered and nearly one-thousand more homes are on alert as that fire remains uncontrolled, while a back burn is planned near Deka Lake east of 100 Mile House where nearly 700 properties are evacuated as a small but aggressive wildfire burns nearby.
