The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I-SPARC) have announced the recipients for the Premier’s Award in Indigenous Youth Excellence in Sport.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the ceremony was held virtually. The ceremony was posted on I-SPARC’s Youtube channel. It included speakers Ken Edzerza who is the Regional Lead for the Northeast, Melanie Mark the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Sports and Culture and Corinne McKay I-SPARC’s president and regional lead for the Northwest.
The recipients of this years award are, Nancy Moore from Massett Village, Taylor Parr who is from the Metis Nation of BC, Rhon Peal from the Nisga’a Nation, Tatum Jack from the Gitxsan Nation, Jacob Heit of the Kispiox Band and Grace Currie of the North Central Metis.
