Several students in the Nisga’a Elementary Secondary School Community have tested positive for Covid-19

This announcement came from a news release from the Nisga’a Lisims Government.

Currently the students are self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams. It’s possible children were exposed to the virus last week between November 16-20.

Currently contact tracing is being undertaken by the Nisga’a Valley Health Authority. Protocol is being followed and where possible primary contacts are being contacted to self-isolate. If anyone in your household develops flu like symptoms, even mild symptoms, they are asked to call their local Health Authority to book a test.
