The Cariboo Regional District will be opening most of its share sheds on a trial basis beginning today.
The share sheds will be open to local users. Residents are reminded to obey the posted signage and limit the use of the sheds to one person or family “bubble” at a time. The reopening is only a trial basis and is at the discretion of the CRD.
The sheds will be closed again if: they become over-full of donated or prohibited items, users demonstrate aggressive or confrontational behaviour towards staff or others, users loiter on foot or in vehicles and if increased share shed traffic inhibits operations of the refuse sites.
There are some items that can’t be left at the share shed that include, clothing, car seats and baby or child safety equipment and small loose toys or toy parts.
Users are asked to stay home if they are feeling unwell or have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days.
