BC Hydro has received word that there were three more positive cases of Covid-19 amongst their workers.
On Tuesday in a press release, BC Hydro has said that Site C contact tracing has been completed and as a precautionary measure, two additional people are isolating in camp. Health officials were also able to confirm that the three new cases are not related to the two isolated cases that were announced on the week of October 12th. Health officials have also confirmed that none of the three cases originated at the site.
The first worker has not been to site since being exposed and testing positive. The second worker returned to work for two days last week after being exposed off site and later tested positive upon returning home. Both workers are currently isolating at home. The third worker developed symptoms two days after arriving at site last week and then tested positive.
BC Hydro continues to follow provincial and federal health guidelines to protect workers in the camp as well as the surrounding communities.
