The City of Quesnel will be running its annual fire hydrant and water main flushing program starting today.
This will be going on for approximately three weeks from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Areas affected include: Johnston and Carson Subdivisions, South Quesnel, Two and Three Mile Flat, West Quesnel – west of Baker Creek and Uplands, West Quesnel – east of Baker Creek, and Downtown and North Quesnel.
Hydrant and water main flushing causes turbidity in the City’s water system. If residents experience discoloured water they’re asked to run the tap on cold until the water returns to normal.
