The Cariboo Regional District is asking area residents to conserve their water use. This is to maintain the quality and supply of water to the community. A single water well supplies over 70 households in the Alexis Creek area, resident cooperation is crucial in the conservation efforts.
Alexis Creek residents are also reminded that water restrictions are currently in effect and lawn sprinkling is limited to 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. If overuse continues the system will not be able to keep up, if anyone has any questions they’re asked to contact the Cariboo Regional District Environmental Services Department at 250-392-3351.
