On Jun. 30, Prince George RCMP received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a two vehicle collision and disturbance on Highway 97 at Houghtaling Road.
Witnesses reported that a car had “t-boned” a full size pick-up and continued to push the truck across three lanes of highway and over the curb, leading to a physical fight between drivers. Officers were in the area and went to the scene where the driver of the car was arrested. The investigation has led officers to believe the dispute was between two people previously known to each other.
Evidence and witness accounts indicate that the driver of the vehicle had deliberately crashed into the pick-up and pushed it off the highway and up onto a curb. The BC Prosecution Service has approved a charge of Dangerous Driving against Brandon James Peters, 39. Peteres was held overnight for virtual court and was released on strict no contact conditions, he will appear in court again on Aug. 5.
