71 new cases reported today bringing total number of Covid-19 cases in B.C. to 1795

Provincial Health Officials gave their update today on the Covid-19 situation.

Today there were 71 test positive cases to report bringing the total to 1795, there are a total of 153 Interior Health and 40 total in Northern Health.

Currently, there’s 103 people in hospital and 46 in critical care. Today there are 3 more deaths to report bringing the total number of deaths in B.C. to 90. All three of the deaths were associated with long term care.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says that we are continuing to experience new community outbreaks here in B.C. She goes on to say that we have more work to do to break the chains of transmission.
