The Williams Lake Fire Department in partnership with other agencies including, Central Cariboo Search & Rescue, Emergency Health Services, Williams Lake RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, BC Sheriffs, BC Conservation Officer Service, CVSE, Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department and 150 Mile Volunteer Fire Department have planned the second salute to healthcare and front line workers.
This would take place on Sat. Apr 11 at 7 p.m. The convoy is expected to include over 40 vehicles who will be showcasing their appreciation for front line workers through a parade of lights and sirens. The route will begin at the Williams Lake Fire Station, travel through Highway 20 into town where they will salute the front line workers at Cariboo Place.
They will then continue to Cariboo Memorial Hospital where they will complete two laps and finish at the Williams Lake seniors Village on Western. Residents are encouraged to showcase their support by making noise, holding up signs and cheering as the convoy passes by. Residents are also reminded to ensure that appropriate physical distancing takes place.
