In the last two days there have been 86 new cases of Covid-19. There is now a total of 14 cases in Northern Health. There are also two more deaths to report bringing the total to 19.
There have been 469 people that have been released from isolation and are now considered fully recovered. That’s 48 percent of the total cases, including 70 who were in hospital or ICU. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says that this shows the importance of people being in hospital at the right time and being ventilated at the right time if they need it.
Henry says that these next two weeks are a critical time during this second incubation period. Seeing if we will have a spike of sick people or will it remain a slow trickle. Henry goes on to say that we need to continue to do all we can to slow the spread.
