Today in an address Dr. Bonnie Henry reported 77 new cases bringing the provincial total to 348. There are still only 4 cases reported in Northern Health.
From today on, Henry says restaurants must move to a take out or delivery only model. As well as saying that businesses should stay open to help support us and our health care workers. While still exercising caution and doing so in a safe manner.
Henry also says that if you do plan to go outside that you should not be going out in large groups, stay with one or two people and maintain a safe distance if you are going out in a small group.
Health Minister Adrian Dix says with the cancellation of surgeries we’ve seen a 78.5 percent occupancy in acute care down from 103.5 percent. Critical care beds are also at 61.8 percent capacity. This has led to hospitals being more prepared for an influx in patients.
