Williams Lake RCMP were able to defuse a potentially dangerous situation earlier this week.
Police were called late Monday to a dispute at a home, but the suspect was at another location.
When an officer got to the other address, the suspect was seen leaving the home with a gun and pointing it toward an occupied vehicle nearby.
When police confronted the suspect, he fled back inside setting off about two hours of negotiations.
Officers were able to safely get three people removed from the home before arresting the suspect without incident around 2:15 Monday morning.
RCMP say Dylan Marcel Lulua, from the Williams Lake area, has been charged with pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
