Yesterday, the Prince George RCMP received a report of an unruly passenger on a bus on the campus of UNBC.
Initial reports were that an intoxicated male, accompanied by a female were harassing other passengers. When asked to leave the bus they refused and assaulted the bus driver. The bus was cleared and police were called.
When officers arrived the male and female exited the bus and were walking away from police. The officer attempted to arrest the male and was met with resistance. The officer was assaulted but with the help of another officer arrested the man. The female was also arrested after a short resistance.
The officer was treated for minor injuries. The male and female will appear in court later today.
