Prince George RCMP are investigating an early morning shooting.
The police received a report of two people going to hospital with injuries consistent with being shot. Upon speaking with the victims police were led to believe that the victims were shot by someone known to them on the 3100 block of Westwood Dr.
While looking for the suspect police observed him in a large SUV and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene and due to weather conditions they did not continue pursuit. Through further investigation officers located the vehicle parked outside a residence in the small community of Willow River. Later in the morning four adult females and six adult males were taken into custody without incident. The suspect was not among them.
Although the motive of this attack has yet to be confirmed, investigators believe that the suspect and victims are known to each other and this is a targeted attack. Police do not believe this incident is associated to the attempted murder that occurred earlier this week. If you have any information regarding this or other crimes you can contact the Prince George RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
