The Prince George RCMP are continuing to target impaired drivers this holiday season. From Monday Dec. 9 to Sunday Dec. 15 officers were out looking for impaired drivers.
There was a long list of people being caught for impaired driving. The list includes, two Criminal Code impaired driving investigations, 25 motor vehicle act violation tickets, 20 vehicles impounded, three drug related 24 hour prohibitions, four alcohol related 24 prohibitions, five prohibited driver, three 90 day immediate roadside prohibitions and three 3 day prohibitions.
Cpl. Craig Douglass says, ” despite our best efforts to warn drivers that our officers will be out in full force. Some people still choose to drive while impaired. Everyone else should be aware of this and be extra cautious while utilizing our roadways.”
If you witness an intoxicated person get behind the wheel or see a car driving in a dangerous or erratic manner you’re asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
