With a federal impact assessment on the way for a proposed liquefied natural gas facility in the Northwest, funding is being made available.
The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada says the public and Indigenous peoples can apply for money to assist with their participation in the assessment of the Cedar LNG Project.
Cedar LNG would see a floating liquefied natural gas processing facility and export terminal built near Kitimat.
The proposed project would produce approximately 3 to 4 million tonnes of LNG per year and would include storage capacity for up to 250,000 cubic metres of LNG.
Applications must be received before January 6.
