The BC Hydro community team will be handing out free Energy Saving Kits to income-qualifying households at community foodbanks.
The foodbank locations will be, Williams Lake Dec 11 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Quesnel Dec 12 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Terrace Dec 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 130 p.m., Smithers Dec 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in Prince Rupert from 10:15 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The kits are designed to make homes more comfortable and energy efficient. The kit contains LED bulbs, weather stripping to reduce drafts around windows and doors, high efficiency showerhead, water-saving tap aerators, LED night light and fridge and freezer thermometer.
