A woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries after she was hit by a car in Prince George Wednesday.
RCMP say the woman was attempting to cross a city street between intersections at about 6:45 when she was struck.
Investigators say the pedestrian was dressed in black clothing and it was dark and raining heavily at the time of the crash.
Police say speed is not believed to be a factor in the collision, but RCMP have seized the car for examination.
Mounties are still investigating.
Prince George RCMP are reminding both drivers and pedestrains to watch out for each other, especially during this darker time of the year.
