McBride Mounties say they don’t believe there was any criminal intent after a local school reported an attempted abduction.
RCMP say a local secondary school student was heading to class Tuesday morning when she was approached by a someone in a vehicle.
The man told the student class was cancelled and offered her a ride home, The student continued to walk to school ad reported it to staff.
After getting a description of the driver and vehicle, police say they were able to identify and speak with the person and rule out any criminal intent.
RCMP say it’s a good reminder for parents to talk to their children about what to do if they’re approached by a stranger.
