B.C. health authorities are issuing a warning to those looking to get filler treatments done.
Northern Health says no needle-free filler treatments have been approved for use by Health Canada.
This type of procedure uses a pressurized pen to insert hyaluronic acid fillers into the skin without the use of needles or injections.
It says even not even regulated health professionals are to be administering the needle-free procedure.
Northern Health is asking anyone undergoing filler treatment to ensure they are administered by a health professional.
If you encounter any filler procedures being done by someone other than a health professional, you can report it to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
