Another moose hunting season has arrived and people are gearing up to head into the bush.
This year, B.C. government is hoping more people download the B.C. Moose Tracker mobile app.
In the last couple of years less than 3% of moose hunters in B.C. submitted sightings through the app.
The province says information that the app provides is very valuable to understanding B.C. moose populations and helps inform management decisions.
The app was developed by a partnership of the Province, BC Wildlife Federation, and the Habitat Conservation Trust Society.
