RCMP says a four-year-old boy has been found safe after spending a night in the bush near Mackenzie.
George became separated from his parents around 12:30 Saturday afternoon as they were berry picking in the Lions Lake area.
Police, conservation officers, and volunteers, along with Search and Rescue officials from Mackenzie, Prince George, Fort St John, Fort St James and Chetwynd scoured the area for the boy.
In a news release issued Sunday night, Cpl Madonna Saunderson with North District RCMP says George was found safe and sound and reunited with his mom and dad.
The District of Mackenzie Emergency Network says George was spotted by an RCMP aircraft and then located by a police dog team.
He was found in stable condition and taken to hospital to be checked over.
