Dawson Creek RCMP have an Alberta man in custody after a homicide.
Police were called out shortly after 7:30 Friday night for an assault at a Kelly Lake home.
Officers say they found a fatally wounded 54-year-old man and arrested a 24-year-old man at the scene.
The RCMP North District Major Crime Unit is investigating.
Morgen Lambert-Bouma of Alberta is charged with second degree murder and remains in custody.
He is scheduled to appear in Dawson Creek Provincial Court on Monday August 19, 2019.
RCMP say both men were known to each other and police have no information to suggest that the greater public is at further risk.
