Family of a trucker injured in a crash earlier this week have launched a fundraiser.
Kyla Swaile says her father Mike is lucky to be alive after his tanker rolled off of Highway 97 near the Halfway River turn-off early Monday.
According to a GoFundMe page, Swaile suffered broken ribs, compressed vertebrae, and needed “countless numbers’ of staples and stitches to hold his scalp and ear together.
His daughter says Swaile faces a long road to recovery and that her mother will need to take time off work to help him on that journey.
Swaile remains in hospital with no details about when he may be released or transferred closer to home.
