The BC Wildfire Service is tackling a wildfire near Highway 37, about 75 kilometres north of Meziadin Junction and four kilometres south of Bell II.
Officials say the fire was reported late Wednesday night and has burned approximately 10 hectares near Mehan Lake on the west side of the highway.
There are 20 firefighters on the scene with a helicopter and 20 more firefighters area on the way.
Smoke from the smouldering ground fire will likely be visible from the highway, but the wildfire service says the flames are not spreading quickly.
Travellers are being asked to use caution when passing through the area.
