Prince George RCMP say a shot was fired during an incident north of the city this Wednesday morning.
Police were called out at 9:45 to an alarm at a home in the Chief Lake Road area and found that a gun and ammunition had been stolen.
Just over an hour later, Mounties located a suspect vehicle in the area and a crash happened as officers tried to stop it.
Police say two men fled the vehicle with at least one firearm, but they were arrested a short time later.
RCMP say a responding officer fired a shot during the interaction, but there were no injuries.
Police shut down a portion of Highway 97 so evidence could be gathered from the scene.
