Construction is set to begin on new 32-unit supportive housing project in Quesnel.
Funded by the province and operated by the Quesnel Shelter and Support Society, the new units seek to help house and rehab those experiencing homelessness.
Each unit is self-contained with private bathrooms and kitchens, and each resident will have access to a slew of support services.
24-hour service will be provided to help residents transition to independance through social training, skills training, and access to support groups.
Four of the 32 units will be support recovery units, funded and managed by Northern Health to help those residents recover from addiction.
Construction is expected to wrap up by next July.
