Members of the Tahltan Central Government paid visits to a number of jade and placer mining sites on Friday to issue eviction notices.
Last week, newly re-elected TCG President Chad Day sent out a message to those using the sites saying the Nation did not give consent to the activities.
In that statement, Day said the operations are causing environmental degradation, and are being undertaken in a manner that does not respect their title and rights.
On Friday, the President and a number of other members paid a visit to 10 different sites in their territory personally.
At each sight, Day read gave speeches denying consent and demanding those using the sites cease all activities in Tahltan territory.
Day also says he has written to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to demand they take action to halt the activities.
