Major lighting upgrades are on the way for the Williams Lake Airport.
City Council has unanimously agreed to award the project tender to Houle Electric Limited, with a bid of just over 1.1 million dollars.
That number means that the entirety of the project will be covered by a 1.5 million dollar Airports Capital Assistance Program grant handed out in March.
Construction is set to begin mid-July with upgrades to lighting on the taxiway, runway, apron, and more on the way.
