After months of staffing issues, Cariboo Memorial Hospital is finally ready to restore full maternity services.
According to a release from Interior Health, staffing levels are now at a point where they can confidently restore the service, beginning on July 1st.
Critical staff shortages initially forced the Hospital to suspend service in February.
Low-risk service was restored at the end of April, but was briefly cut again last month.
An increase in the number of trained nurses has allowed the hospital to restore previous service levels.
Interior Health is thanking both the public and Cariboo Memorial staff for their patience and understanding during this challenging time.
