Lynda Price, the mother of NHL goaltender Carey Price, has been selected as the next chief of the Ulkatcho First Nation.
Price, who resides in Anahim Lake, previously filled the Chief role between 2005 and 2009.
With 132 votes, Price will once again step in to the role, taking over for outgoing Chief of four years Betty Cahoose.
In addition, band members also elected 5 councillors: Mabelene Leon, Allan Louie, Laurie Vaughan, Stella West, and Nelson P. William.
Elected Ulkatcho Chiefs and Councillors serve 2 year terms.
