Fort St John Mounties a searching for a 16-year-old girl.
Police say Laila Apsassin left home June 3 and has not returned.
Her parents have received Facebook messages but can’t confirm if they are from their daughter.
Investigators believe she is still in Fort St John, but have been unable to contact her or find out where she is.
Laila Apsassin is described as:
- Indigenous female
- 5’4″ (162 cm) tall
- 120 lbs (54kg)
- very long, brown hair
- brown eyes
- wears glasses
- tattoo of autumn leaves by left collar bone
- silver hoop piercing on top of right ear
RCMP are asking anyone who has any information about Laila Apsassin or where she might be to call the Fort St John detachment at 250-787-8100, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submit a tip online at www.crimestoppersnebc.ca.
