Judy Gerow is the new Chief Councillor for the Kitselas First Nation Band Council following yesterday’s election.
Gerow took home 66 of 201 ballots cast, narrowly beating out runner up Glenn Bennett.
In addition to Gerow, the Nation also voted in 5 regular councillors.
Cyril Bennett-Nabess led all council votes with 89 total, followed by Gerow, Clarisa Spencer, Lynn Parker, Harold Lloyd McDames Sr, and Ian Chad Gerow, in order of votes received.
