Three Prince George area men convicted of murder in 2017 will have another chance to make their case.
In a unanimous decision, the BC Court of Appeal found that the jury which convicted the trio of the 2012 murder of Jordan Reno, received incorrect instructions.
According to the Court, the judge’s directions to the jury failed to “provide them with a proper sequential framework” to assess guilt.
They also ruled that the judge incorrectly allowed the jury to consider some DNA evidence when deciding th mens’ fates.
Lyle Baker and Dustin Lindgren will now see their first degree murder convictions set aside, while Kevin Zaporoski’s second degree charge will follow.
