A one million dollar investment from the Childcare BC New Spaces Fund will bring a new child care facility to Hagensborg
A standalone facility will be established beside Sir Alexander Mackenzie Secondary featuring 16 total child care spaces.
Eight of those spaces will be reserved for infants, while the other eight will go to children between 30 months old and Kindergarten.
School District 49 expects the new facility to open up by the end of the fall.
Staff at the new centre will not only teach children about nature and the outdoors, but also about local Indigenous communities.
Support services will also be available for both staff and families featuring therapist services, mental health support, clinic access and more.
