A Prince George innovator is among 15 fresh recipients of BC’s highest honour.
Lieutenant Governer Janet Austin announced the new appointments to the Order of British Columbia this morning.
Prince George lumber leader John A. Brink is being recognized by the Order for his efforts to diversify the lumber industry.
Brink came to Canada with the dream of building a sawmill and ended up creating the largest secondary wood manufacturer in North America.
With the new appointees, 447 individuals in total have been appointed to the Order.
This year marks the orders 30th anniversary.
