Smoke from a wildfire near the BC-Yukon border is blanketing the area.
The BC Wildfire Service says the Black Angus Creek fire about 40 km south of Lower Post was discovered Monday.
The lightening-caused fire has scorched over a thousand hectares but no structures are currently at risk.
A Wildfire Officer is assessing the situation and coming up with a fire response plan.
The wildfire service is sending an Incident Management Team to the Cassiar Fire Zone to tackle fires in the region.
