Williams Lake celebrated the opening of their first retail cannabis store this weekend, which also happens to be Indigenous owned.
Owned and operated by the Williams Lake Indian Band, “Indigenous Bloom” opened the doors at it’s South Mackenzie Avenue location on Saturday.
According to the band, the store paves a way towards local Indigenous involvement in industries beyond the resource sector.
Currently Indigenous Bloom employs 11 individuals, but does plan to expand to other locations in the future.
