Volunteers from all walks of life are set to be honoured in Quensel as the city hashes out a new volunteer recognition program.
After 37 years, City Council disbanded the Quesnel Volunteer Citizen of the Year Committee last year to focus on developing a more inclusive program.
Council thought the previous program did not do its part in honouring youth, corporate, and group volunteers.
In an effort to develop a program which is unique to the city and honour all volunteers equally, councillor Roodenburg has been tasked with coming up with a new program.
If you have any suggestions for how the City can move forward, you can email them to lroodenburg@quesnel.ca.
