Quesnel’s very own Teri Mooring is set to take over as head of the BC Teacher’s Federation.
Mooring will take the reigns from current President Glen Hansmen on July 1st after being appointed to the position this morning.
For the last six years, Mooring has served as first vice-president to Hansmen.
Her teaching career spans 4 decades, having started teaching in 1988.
Eventually, Mooring joined the Quesnel District Teacher’s Association, where she would serve 5 years as President.
Mooring hopes to bring a focus on smaller, rural, communities to the Federation.
