Seven Northern BC projects are among 76 receiving funding from BC’s Multiculturalism Grants Program.
Each of the programs will receive 4 thousand dollars in funding to promote intercultural trust and understanding in creative ways.
Fort St James will see their funding go to the Community Arts Council and their Weaving Cultures Together program.
In Prince George, two projects will receive funding: the My Voice, Your Voice in Our Community program, and the Indigenous Ways of Learning exhibition at Two Rivers Art Gallery.
Smithers will also see two projects funded, including: a Multicultural Community Cafe, and the search for an Indigenous Library Assistant for a summer reading club.
The Skeena Diversity Society in Terrace will use storytelling to help build a vibrant and compassionate community.
And Williams Lake will have funding go to an International Cooking Series put on by the Cariboo-Chilcotin Partners for Literacy Society.
