Two suspects are in custody following a high risk takedown near 100 Mile House on Sunday.
Just before 11:30 in the morning on Sunday, RCMP from 100 Mile, Williams Lake, and the Cariboo Central Traffic Services responded to an incident north of Lac La Hache.
A Hyundai Elantra, which had been stolen from the Kelowna area, had reportedly struck at least 2 vehicles while driving erratically.
One of those vehicles was a Subaru Forester, the driver of which pulled over to confront the Elantra driver.
During this meeting, the male driver of the Elantra is reported to have forcibly taken the keys from the female Forester driver.
Along with a passenger, the Elantra driver then fled the scene in the freshly-stolen Forester.
RCMP seized the Elantra, and subsequently located the Forester heading southbound to 100 Mile House.
Police completed the high risk takedown and took the two suspects, who are believed to be involved in a number of other incidents, in to custody.
Now, police are asking witnesses of the Lac La Hache incident to contact 100 Mile RCMP at 250 395 2456.
