Yesterday, Ontario announced that they would be rolling out a ban of cell phones in school classrooms for the 2019-2020 school year.
But students in BC can breath a sigh of relief as the province’s Ministry of Education announced this morning that they would not be following Ontario’s lead.
According to the Ministry, each individual school district is responsible for setting a policy that meets the unique needs of their jurisdiction.
This also means adapting technology in ways that can support the academic success of students.
