The North District Major Crime Unit is investigating a death in Valemount.
Police were called Sunday morning shortly after 11 and found a 60 year-old man dead at an undisclosed location in the community.
Few details have been released, but Mounties confirm the death is being investigated as a homicide.
RCMP say they have no information to suggest that the greater public is at further risk.
