Terrace residents experienced an extremely dry and cold February.
According to Environment Canada, the city experienced the second driest month and had the sixth coldest February since 1913.
BC River Forecast Centre hydrologist Jonathan Boyd says that had an impact on the Skeena-Nass snowpack.
Boyd says there is still a chance for the Skeena-Nass snowpack to reach normal conditions over the next two months.
The Stikine snowpack is currently at 59 percent of normal, compared to 68 percent at this time last year.
The River Forecast Centre says the concern is there could be a return to drought conditions experienced last summer and fall in the Stikine.
