British Columbia’s labour force is the strongest in Canada for the 18th month in a row.
In the Northwest, employment is up 3.9 percent, according to Labour Force Survey numbers released this morning.
Minister of Jobs Bruce Ralston says this improvement reflects the shifts which have taken place since the LNG Canada investment decision.
With employment numbers continuing to climb, housing workers will become more and more difficult.
Minister Ralston says that this means employers will need to consider other housing methods in order to entice and retain employees.
For BC as a whole, unemployment sits at 4.7 percent in March, which is identical to last month’s figure.
