Tourism in BC is set to receive a facelift with the introduction of a new framework.
According to numbers discussed at the Tourism Industry Conference, the industry is actually BC’s most profitable.
With 18.4 billion dollars in revenue generated in 2017, the tourism industry contributed roughly 9 billion dollars to BC’s GDP in 2017.
Furthermore, with that number representing a 6.4 percent increase over 2016, and a revenue jump of 41 percent since 2007, it is also one BC’s fastest growing industries.
A new roadmap will help further bolster tourism and outline the government’s vision for continued, sustainable, and environmentally friendly growth.
