In January, Quesnel launched a public survey seeking feedback for their 2019 budget, the results of that survey have now been released.
Each of the 10 questions posed by the online survey received between 4 to 5 hundred responses.
Just 7 and a half percent of those who responded were dissatisfied with the City’s 2018 project spending.
Policing services, road care, economic development, and snow removal were identified as top priorities by those surveyed.
While over 80 percent of participants said they wouldn’t add any new services, community events were identified as the weak link if a service needed to be cut.
76 percent of participants said they wanted more RCMP officers in the City, with the majority wanting to add 5 or more.
Nearly 70 percent said that they would be okay with a tax increase to cover improved services.
